Start Your Day in Tórshavn
Your day begins at 08:30 AM, with a comfortable pickup from Tórshavn. Sit back and enjoy the scenic one-hour drive west toward the island of Vágar. Your local guide shares stories of Faroese history, nature, and everyday life as you travel through green valleys and past rugged mountains.
The Tour to Village Bø
As we approach Vágar, the Guide will stop at a couple of the most popular viewpoints in Vágar, where you will have great opportunity for good pictures.
Upon arrival, you’ll stop in Bø, one of the most picturesque villages in the Faroe Islands. Here you’ll enjoy a short walk through the village to see turf-roofed houses and a stunning view of Tindhólmur and Drangarnir rising from the sea.
Scenic Boat Adventure
Late morning, you’ll board a small sightseeing boat for a breathtaking journey along Vágar’s coastline. Cruise beneath dramatic cliffs, explore hidden caves, and discover secret spots accessible only by sea. Keep your camera ready — every turn reveals new perspectives of the islands.
The boat ride offers both adventure and tranquility — a true highlight of the day and an unforgettable way to see the raw beauty of the Faroe Islands.
Lunch With a Local Family
After returning to shore, enjoy a homemade lunch in a local Faroese home in Bø. Sit down to traditional dishes prepared with local ingredients and learn about village life directly from your hosts. This personal dining experience gives you a genuine taste of Faroese hospitality and culture.
Visit Múlafossur & Sørvágsvatn
In the afternoon, visit Múlafossur Waterfall in Gásadalur, where water flows directly from the cliffs into the Atlantic Ocean — one of the most photographed sights in the Faroe Islands.
Before heading back to Tórshavn, make a short stop at Sørvágsvatn, the island’s largest lake, known for its optical illusion where the lake appears to hover above the ocean.
The tour ends back in Tórshavn around 15:45, giving you the rest of the evening to relax and reflect on an incredible day of exploration.

Thank you team Bluegate. My grandson Richard and I had a great experience. Compliments to our guide that accompanied us on the island; he was friendly and answered all my inquiries. He's very knowledgeable about the island and area. We enjoyed the tour on the return trip. The captain knows his stuff; piloting through the sea arch and showing the other side of the island. Bonus!! I had so much fun on this boat ride. The employees were so nice! They took us to see a few beautiful locations including a waterfall that's only seen well from the water. We also got to see a single straggler Puffin, and some dolphins doing jumps. It was an amazing time. The boat goes fast which is extra fun. You are provided with a suit for protection.Posted on Google![]()
